We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager, Scheduling to own a significant area of Procore Scheduling, our native scheduling solution built into the Procore platform.

Construction schedules are built, shared, and used by many parties, and their tools are rarely connected. General contractors often keep a master schedule in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project and plan short-term work in spreadsheets. Owners and specialty contractors receive those schedules but have their own scheduling needs. Procore Scheduling brings them together in one real-time, collaborative platform with a full CPM engine, lookahead planning, third-party imports, and deep connections to other Procore solutions.

You’ll own the in-product schedule experience: how teams view, edit, and collaborate on schedules and lookaheads in Procore Scheduling. You’ll partner with your manager, who leads the broader Scheduling platform and its connections to other Procore solutions, including through AI. You’ll own the customer problems, priorities, and outcomes in your area, spend real time with customers, turn what you learn into clear requirements, and lead product in a tight partnership with Design and Engineering. Your scope is expected to grow as you deliver.

If you want to build software that construction professionals rely on every day and care about getting the details of a complex product right, come join us.

This position reports to the Head of Product, Schedule and is based in Austin, TX.

What you'll do:

  • Own the product strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for the in-product schedule experience: how teams view, edit, and collaborate on schedules and lookaheads in Procore Scheduling. Work within the platform your manager owns, and explain the "why" behind your priorities in clear written briefs
  • Spend significant time with owners, specialty contractors, and general contractors, including schedulers, project controls professionals, and superintendents, to understand how each plans and tracks work, where schedules they receive from others fit in, and where their needs are unmet. Observe customers using the product in the real world, not just in interviews
  • Run discovery independently, using a mix of customer interviews, usability testing, competitive analysis, and usage data, and turn the findings into insights your team and stakeholders can act on
  • Write product requirements and acceptance criteria that account for outcome potential, competitive landscape, technical constraints, and user experience, including performance, reliability, and security
  • Balance near-term improvements against a longer-term vision, and break larger initiatives into phases that deliver customer value along the way
  • Lead your tripod with Design and Engineering, building momentum through influence and respect for each discipline's expertise
  • Partner with your manager and with other Procore product teams so that your area works well with the integrations and capabilities that connect Scheduling to the rest of Procore
  • Plan and run releases from beta through general availability, working with Product Marketing, Sales, Enablement, and Support so customers understand and adopt what we ship
  • Set goals and key results for your area, track adoption, satisfaction, and other outcome measures, and adjust the plan based on what the data shows
  • Communicate strategy, progress, and results clearly to cross-functional partners and leadership
  • Mentor newer product managers and contribute to hiring panels for the Product team

What success looks like in your first 12 to 18 months:

  • You have built a deep understanding of scheduling customers and the construction scheduling workflows they depend on, and you are a trusted voice on them inside Procore
  • You have a clear, prioritized roadmap for your product area that your team, partners, and leadership understand and support
  • You have shipped meaningful capabilities in your area with strong release plans, and customers and our go-to-market teams are equipped to adopt and support them
  • You are tracking clear outcome measures for the schedule experience, such as how quickly teams can build and update a schedule, adoption of editing and collaboration features, and customer satisfaction, and can show progress against targets you helped set
  • Your design and engineering partners see you as a strong leader of the team, and your cross-functional peers see you as easy to work with and effective

What we're looking for:

  • 4+ years of product management experience, or equivalent experience, building and launching B2B software products
  • A track record of owning a product area, including setting direction, prioritizing, and delivering results measured by customer and business outcomes
  • Proficiency in product discovery, including leading customer conversations without oversight and synthesizing what you learn into clear insights
  • Strong skills writing product briefs and requirements, with sound logic for the "why" and attention to technical, design, and competitive risk
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams without direct authority, and influencing stakeholders across product, design, engineering, and go-to-market
  • Comfort making good decisions quickly with incomplete information, and working through ambiguity
  • Strong analytical skills, including using data to track outcomes and shape prioritization
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Interest in the construction industry and a drive to keep learning it

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the construction industry or construction technology
  • Familiarity with project scheduling concepts such as CPM, critical path, float, and lookahead planning, or hands-on experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools
  • Experience with real-time collaborative products, permissions and sharing models, or data import and integration workflows
  • Experience with products that integrate across a broad platform
